I do not believe in the Circle Justice system, and I do not think it helps in any shape, way, or form. There is no way to tell if someone is telling the truth. For example stranding Cole Mathews on an island for a long period of time is not strict enough, because they are just assuming he is going to tell the truth. I think that this treatment isn’t strong enough for what he did. I dont think leaving him on an island is the most effective solution for his anger issues, and his destroying and demolishing of buildings. I definitely don’t think it will solve this issue, and if it does it didnt solve it in any appropriate manner. The only reason I thought at the start of the book, that it would be helpful is because it would give him a chance to rethink and solve his problems independently . But now, he has burned up his hut, and now it has come to the point where it is dangerous.
