The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm by Sarah Farmer

The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm By, Sarah Farmer

The mellower , In this interesting novel The Ear, the Eye, and the Arm is a key part of this book in many ways, as well as has a unique personality. The Mellower is a blond Englishman, whose job is to praise the family, meaning give compliments, and cheer up. For example, when the three children Tendai, Rita, and Kuda decide to explore the city the mellower hypnotizes the General using praise, to help persuade General Matsika to sign permission forms to go to the city to earn their Scout Badges. If I were the Mellower, I wouldn’t have the patience to compliment/praise General  Matsika, as well as the whole family. At some parts in this book I felt bad for the Mellower. The Mellower is a key character in this intriguing book.
