Swine flu, also known as H1N1 Virus is a respiratory sickness that mainly infects pigs. This harmful virus has never affected humans, until now. In Mexico, the Swine Flu has sickened over 2,500 people. Health Officials in mexico suspect about 152 people have passed away because of this illness. People between the ages of 25-45 are showing up to be affected by this virus. Contrast to most viruses. Mexico has closed down schools untill May 6th. Many other places are being shut down such as churces, restaurants, and more. Many people in Mexico have criticized the country’s health measures, due to reports of many ill people being turned away from hospitals. The Swine flu has spread to at least 7 countries, and probably more. This is a very serious illness, and hopefully, doctors will find a cure to the Swine Flu soon.
